Why beauty pageants should be banned for under 18’s

Now i don’t have anything against beauty pageants, i don’t think its wrong to have them. But i do find it wrong and creepy to see young kids as young as 5 years old in beauty pageants. Not just the fact that they are being exposed but the fact that some parents would go to extreme lengths i.e botox, yes believe it or not just so that they win. Also what does this teach kids??? that’s its ok to get plastic surgery, that beauty is the only thing important in life??. Honestly i think that some of these children should be removed from their parents because clearly this parents are ripping them off their childhood. Melbourne Hosts Controversial Child Beauty Pageant

Did you know it take up to 7 or 8 hours per day just to get the child ready in terms of costume, make-up and practice their skill/routine. The child is always being pressured by the parent to do 100% or nothing. Honestly i think the parent are the ones pushing their own failed dreams towards the child. Their doing it from themselves regardless on how the child feels. They don’t show you what happens next if the child fails to win do they?? Parents would get angry, upset, frustrated towards their child because she did not fulfill their potentials.  How do you think the child would feel?? upset, unwanted and a failure. Is this fair on the child of course not.

They say its good because it will make the child less shy and more confidence when they grow up. Somehow i think the child will grow up will to much confidence and have an ego. i don’t think a very young beauty pageant has anything  good to show for. I don’t think these kids will grow up right they will grow up thinking that only beauty is the way to get things in life.

Most disturbing thing is some parents would go the extra mile to get plastic surgery on the child???? i mean what the fuck is that all about?? of course its illegal but they somehow find a way to beat the system or they would inject it themselves without supervision or experience.

Already its hard today and kids seems to be growing up much more faster then they should. But this doesn’t make it better it makes it worse.

i just think its wrong for a parent to force their dream on a child and i strongly believe that they should be removed from them due to taking away their natural childhood, this is neglecting the child’s needs to feed your own..

Being a normal child model such as promoting toys and clothing is one thing, but taking it to the next level is another. Just imagine how the child feels everyday to wake up early, practicing,  get ready, get make-up done, getting told what to day, say and behave.

Having a parent then teaches you that beauty is the right way forward and that you will make a lot of money from it if successful is giving the child bad advice to take on as they grow older. Parents treats their children as a product they are trying to sell and not as a human being.

Also this will trigger

  •  hatred and jealousy towards other
  •  low self-esteem if the lose the contests after being worked so hard to win and being told your not good enough basically
  •  Self destructive behavior such as bulimia, anorexia.
  • Compulsive exersize disorder as they grow older
  • Perfectionism
  • Mental disorder

So why would you treat your child like a product????? The reason why i say 18 is because i think that’s the time you can decide whether you want to do it for yourself or not. You have a choice, you have your own mind, you have your own expressiveness. But under 18 i think your more likely to be more influenced but others without knowing what you think is best for yourself.208726-beauty-pageant

Growing up too fast??

Is it just me or do kids today seem to be growing up way too fast??? i mean really some kids today act like they are full grown adults. I’m not even to sure where to start on this but i will try my best not to make this post too messy and mixed up. I see 13 years olds acting like 23 years olds and it makes me wonder what are those 13 year olds really going to be like when they become  23?? The kids today  to me are kind of disturbing by the way the act and behave. It makes me sacred to have kids in the future god knows how they would turn out. Here is just a few ideas and factors on which might explain why.growing-up-too-fast

When i was growing up i consider myself living a normal childhood. I didn’t for one have internet till i was 16 ( note i was born in the early 90s) But even then internet was becoming more and more popular but i didn’t really feel the need of it. I didn’t have a fancy cell phone or even any phone till i was 15, again something i didn’t think too much about. I didn’t have a bf or any kind of encounter relationship till i was again 16/17. In fact before i was 16 as a child i did normal child like things i.e playing in the park, watching cartoons, playing with toys, talking to friends in school about you know kids talk. Then i turned 16 and well hey rebel times lol but i was staring to work and make my own income.

Today we see kids as young as 13 with iphones or BB and other kids would get picked on if they don’t have the latest things, I see 14 year olds giving relationship advice like they had over 20 year experience, I see 13-15 year olds wearing make-up and going on diets when they haven’t fully grown, i see young people like really really young trying to get laid, i don’t even think they are in puberty yet to actually do anything. I mean there is probably more but things like this makes me worry about how they will be when they actually grow up.

I think with all this technology and all this media trying to tell people how your life is really effecting are parading towards young people to live their proper childhood. Honestly its like their scared to be a young  in case they get bullied or picked on just because they don’t want to live a fast pace life or an adult life. So they get pressured into things which are not usual to see.

I think for one parents should stop giving these items like they was candy and the idea that’s its ok to be an adult when your actually 12. I myself was not allowed to wear make-up and meet guys till i was at least 16 even that when i think about it was still kinda too young. But i did other normal things at that age such as dye hair crazy colors, piercings, wear funky clothes but that’s all normal teenage life. I wasn’t thinking about having a serious relationship or having breast implants because i was a A-cup and i wanted to look older and more sexy, i hadn’t finish growing yet lol.

I understand we live in a modern world now and we have so much more things and facilities when we did back in the day. But i still think that kids are acting much older then they are. i mean we’re only young once, so why throw that away.

The funny thing is i don’t even think they know what ”growing up means”. They think its about clothes, phones, new shoes that by the way is was bought by mommy and daddy, having sex, or drinking etc.  But reality being a grown up means paying bills, supporting yourself, going to work making your own income. They don’t seem to think that way

The best thing to do for a child is let them live like a child, give them a good education, giving your kids some after school activities so they can socialize more, teach you child about the value of hard work and respect.

Worse things to do are giving your child magazines about how to look good, Letting your child watch way to much tv ( this is one of the factors on how they get influenced) ,  giving you child all the latest stuff like it was candy and giving the impression its ok to pretend to be adult without them know the value of being one.

No respect these days who’s to blame??

Do you think discipline can help kids to be a better person in the future?? do you even think kids today value what they have compare to most???Do they even know what respect means???? Who is to blame???

Right im not here to disrespect or tell people how they should raise they kids today but i think there is a lot more we can do for  kids  in today’s generation in terms of  respecting others and learning how to value life itself.

I was watching a Tv series ” worlds strictest parents”  and to be honest i found that all the parents we’re not strict at all?? in fact most of the parents just teaches their children that life is not easy and the should be grateful for the little things in life and work hard if they want to get somewhere. im sure people would agree on that. However the Brit kids seem to have none of that, the don’t respect their parents, older people, themselves and they don’t seem to appreciate that even though they might not be having ”fun”  in the they still have more advantage then most kids in other parts of the worlds if they wanted to become something in life.

who’s to blame???

Well a number of people would, the parents?? Sure they probably tired but more can be done. We want the best for our kids and we want them to have freedom but not end up turning into animals, even animals have more respect for their own. This why i believe making rules, discipline and even smacking should be in forced from a young age. When i was growing up in my house i had freedom but if i swore at my father SMACK.,it wasn’t hard but he was right, i was a child and need to learn to respect my elders especially if its someone taking care of me. I had chorus to do around the house, again this thought me as i grew up them you have to do things for yourself and not rely on others to do them for you all that time. It called the value and principles of life, which most teens today don’t have. Instead they do what they like, which 99% of the things the do it stupid anyways and they end up becoming losers.

Some time ago on the bus there was a kid around 11, he go on the bus tapped his card it didn’t work so the bus driver told him to tap again, the kid go angry and told him to ” fuck off”  just like that for no reason the driver wasn’t rude or anything but i thought to myself ” if my kid talked like that to me i would smack that kid hard till the tongue comes off”

Second people who are to blame is politicians. There are not enough social activities for kids at all, unless you have money and can afford places. Nearly all the youth clubs are being shut down, sold to private to make flats. No wonder you see kids hanging on the streets, they have nowhere to go!!! They lack social skills, independence, meeting new people, being active so they do stupid things because what else is there to do. Hence why kids won’t respect others since they have been neglected by but the adults.

How to solve this??

It takes 2 to tango here really. Parents need to be able to take a lead in the house, im not saying they have to beat them blue but discipline in a way that will make them understand the value of what they have and the politicians should do more to make sure these kids have things to do and have somewhere to go after school otherwise they will end up being animals on the streets.
